Why You Need an Evergreen Content Library: 10 Things It Can Do For Your Business

Cut long articles into bitesize pieces for social media posts. For example, a “tips and tricks” listicle could be repurposed into one social post for each tip.
If you have a strong opinion on something, ask others what they think and start a discussion. Be careful here, though; don’t be controversial for the sake of it and make sure your opinions are things you genuinely believe and can stand behind. As an example, my views on generative AI always generate (see what I did there?) plenty of discussion and debate on LinkedIn.
Turn key takeaways from your evergreen blog posts into infographics or mini-videos (for example, for Instagram Reels or Youtube Shorts.)
Turn a longform “how to” guide into a series of instructional emails or a free video course.
Combine informational content with case studies to show how your insdights and services have helped real clients.
Repurpose evergreen content for seasonal blog or social media posts. For example, if you run a sustainable business and have an evergreen piece of content on how your products can help customers live a more eco-friendly lifestyle, you could incorporate it into seasonal “sustainable gifting” content around the holidays.
Update, refresh, and re-share your evergreen content periodically when you have new information, insights, case studies, or statistics to add.

Product-based, service-based, or a mix of the two? Highly local or completely online? One person operation, small business, or large company? B2B or B2C? In an ultra-technical or fabulously creative sector? It doesn’t matter! This strategy, when it is implemented well and managed consistently, can work for just about any business under the sun.
