My business is new, when should I bring in a copywriter?
As soon as you can! I love working with brand new businesses. If you bring me in right at the beginning, we can work together to develop the core messaging and positioning that will underpin every aspect of your ongoing marketing efforts.
Do you offer other types of writing beyond the ones listed in your service pages?
Yes. The services listed here are my core offers, but if you’d like to hire me for another project or type of writing, I’d love to hear your ideas and talk about whether I’m the right writer for you. If I don’t feel like my skillset is the right fit for your project, I’ll be honest with you and happily refer you on to another of the amazing writers in my network.
I need my content yesterday! How quickly can you turn it around?
I’m not a content mill and I’m certainly not ChatGPT. Real creativity takes a little time and amazing things can happen when we slow down. Starting your project as early as possible creates a low-stress environment where ideas can flow, inspiration can strike, and your content can really sparkle.
With that said, I understand that urgency does happen and sometimes time is of the essence. The nature of my flexible schedule means I can often move things around to accommodate tighter deadlines. Let me know what you need and if I can possibly make it happen, I will.
I’ll always give you a realistic time-frame when we agree to work together.
Do you use AI to write?
Absolutely not. I am ethically opposed to generative AI in all its forms and I will not touch it. You can read more about my stance on AI here.
I hired a copywriter or used AI and I’m unhappy with the results. Can you fix it?
Absolutely! I love taking lacklustre, boring, or disappointing content and turning it into something magical. I’ll ask you to send me what you’ve got so far, then we’ll talk about your goals for the content and how I can bring it up to scratch.
Will you do a free trial assignment for me?
No. In my experience, trial assignments rarely lead to paid work and often lead to me giving away my skills and knowledge for free. My work, my experience, and my track record speak for themselves. If you’re not convinced of the value I can add for your business without free work, I’m not the writer for you.
Can we meet in person or will you come to our offices?
Sure! If you’re local to the UK midlands (or further afield and willing to cover my travel costs,) I’d love to meet in person. We can meet at your offices or premises, or in a public place such as a coffee shop. Seeing clients on-site is one of my favourite parts of this job. It’s a great way for me to really immerse myself in your brand and get to know your culture so I can reflect it accurately in the content I create for you.
