Hi! I’m Jess, a freelance copywriter and content writer based near Nottingham, UK, and supporting clients globally. I specialise in working with small businesses (especially ethical and sustainable brands), solo entrepreneurs, service providers, and creative professionals.

I’ve always loved stories and have been a writer since I learned how to hold a pencil (and possibly before, since I’m pretty sure I was making up stories in my head before I knew how to write them down.)

I’ve been a full-time freelance writer since 2020. I started my freelance career in agency work, primarily doing SEO writing and editing, but soon made the switch to working with clients directly. In the last five years I’ve supported business owners, founders, creators and marketers across a wide variety of industries and niches.

Prior to freelancing, I worked in various roles across the theatre, higher education, and charity sectors.

I have colourful hair and even more colourful clothes. I’m a foodie, a lover of travel, and a musical theatre nerd. When I’m not writing I can probably be found reading, knitting or crocheting, hyper-focusing on a new crafty hobby, singing along to showtunes (badly), or cuddling a cat.
