Getting Started
I usually start a new client relationship with a discovery Zoom call. This free, no-obligation chat lasts around 30 minutes and gives me an opportunity to learn more about you, your business, and your goals.
When you book your call, I’ll send you a short questionnaire to complete; this is optional but helps me prepare for our meeting.
If video calls are difficult or inaccessible for you, we can do a camera-off call or chat by email instead.
Following the discovery conversation, I’ll put together a proposal outlining the project scope, costs, deliverables, and deadlines. If you’re happy to proceed, we’ll both sign a work agreement. A 50% deposit is payable upfront for new clients, with the balance due on delivery.

What’s the difference between copywriting and content writing?
These terms are often used interchangeably. Technically, however, there is a difference. Specifically, a copywriter is focused on creating content that converts, makes sales, or convinces people to take action, while a content writer is focused on providing value, building relationships, and boosting engagement.
The reality is that many projects include a mix of both types of writing. Most businesses need both to varying extents. I offer both, and I’m able to blend them with your brand identity to create seamless, cohesive, and sparkling results.
How much does copywriting and content writing cost?
All my services are bespoke and built around your needs, so I don’t offer a “menu” of services at set prices. Instead, I’ll work with you to determine your requirements, your budget, and your priorities and offer you a quote tailored to you.
As a very rough guide, prices for a 1000-word blog post start from £250, my day rates start from £350, and the copy for an entire website can cost anything from £1500 upwards. Factors such as word counts, project complexity, and research requirements influence the final price.
Before you commit to working with me, I’ll provide you with an itemised proposal so you know exactly how much you’ll pay and what you’ll get for your money.
Two rounds of edits and amendments are included with every project.
Can we meet in person?
Sure! If you’re local to the UK midlands (or further afield and willing to cover my travel costs,) I’d love to meet in person. We can meet at your offices or premises, or in a public place such as a coffee shop.
Seeing clients on-site is one of my favourite parts of this job. It’s a great way for me to really immerse myself in your brand and get to know your culture so I can reflect it accurately in the content I create for you.
I need my content yesterday! How quickly can you turn it around?
I’m not a content mill and I’m certainly not ChatGPT. Real creativity takes a little time and amazing things can happen when we slow down. Starting your project as early as possible creates a low-stress environment where ideas can flow, inspiration can strike, and your content can really sparkle.
With that said, I understand that urgency does happen and sometimes time is of the essence. The nature of my flexible schedule means I can often move things around to accommodate tighter deadlines. Let me know what you need and if I can possibly make it happen, I will.

Do you use AI?
Absolutely not. I am ethically opposed to generative AI in all its forms and I will not touch it. You can read more about my stance on AI here.
I hired a copywriter or used AI and I’m unhappy with the results. Can you fix it?
Absolutely! I love taking lacklustre, boring, or disappointing content and turning it into something magical. I’ll ask you to send me what you’ve got so far, then we’ll talk about your goals for the content and how I can bring it up to scratch.
